Laughter and art are universal. I bring them together.
My art is intentionally simplistic, light and not dark. Known for a distinctive style and a form of humour, I explore obvious interpretations of the life we live, hopefully allowing us to laugh at ourselves.
What I see and what I hear, I turn into something amusing. In the end, I set out to please your eyes, but then surprise your brain with humour.
I combine simplistic images and text to reveal snap shots of day to day life. The artwork pairs together bold bright pop art imagery, with a twist or a play on a popular phrase or theme. I work to bring art to life in the most minimal version possible. Text harmonizing with colour, and familiar images create a comfort and hopefully an accessibility to the work. Humour is a sense we, as humans, can’t live without.
